A "First" Day

Rise and shine, First Little Nguyen! It's your first day of first grade! I can't believe our little man is going to first grade! Look at the big smile on his face! After his #1 favorite, super special, first grade breakfast (a scrambled egg biscuit and orange juice), he got dressed and ready for his big day. He packed his backpack yesterday afternoon, helped pack his lunch, and put his milk money in an envelope. Of course, he is very excited because his two best friends are in his class with him, so starting the day with new teachers won't be too difficult. Things are always easier when your buddies are close! We visited his new classroom and met his teachers last week. It was just like a first grade classroom should be: rich in print, so many good books, and with two heart-of-gold teachers to guide him through the year. What more could we ask for?

He went off to school wearing his favorite green shirt (you know...dinosaurs are green) and a big, toothless grin. After snapping a few photos, he said, "MOM! Get one of me without my teeth!" So, here it is...as requested. Somehow I think that every photo we take for the next few months is going to show those missing teeth quite well!
