The holiday season is off to a runnin' start! This chilly morning, we made our way downtown to the annual Jingle Bell Run. Everyone was decked out in running gear, Santa hats, and reindeer antlers. The boys didn't quite know what to expect when we told them they were going to get to run in the 100-yard Reindeer Dash. But when we fastened runner numbers and jingle bells onto their winter coats...BAM!...they became instant athletes! The First Little Nguyen kept asking, "When is the race going to begin?" He stretched like he was Carl Lewis preparing to win a gold medal! The Second Little Nguyen kept putting his hands up in the air. I guess he thought he had already won the dash! After a middle-aged man dressed in running shorts and a Santa hat demonstrated what the kids were going to be doing, they were off and racing. Of course, the First Little Nguyen took off, leaving the Second Little Nguyen (and his mother) in the dust! Both boys crossed the "finish line" and were promptly rewarded with a coupon for a free Dunkin' Donut. Nothin' says road race like a Dunkin' Donut! Ho Ho Ho!
