Noodle Catching

The Little Nguyens are a mixture of cultures...Vietnamese, German, Swedish. Italian, however, is not one of them! You would never know it, though, based on their love of all things involving noodles. Chi loves pastas of all kinds, too. A few years back he bought a pasta-making attachment for our KitchenAid stand mixer, and nothing compares to the delicious fresh pasta he makes. He is the resident noodle expert! He has perfected spinach pasta and a whole wheat blend, which we all love. Recently, the Little Nguyens were helping him make lasagne noodles, and the First Little Nguyen got to play "catcher"! While I made the sauce, he took great care to make sure he didn't tear the sheets of pasta. He had to be very careful not to get his little fingers in the way of the rollers. The Littlest Nguyen was a bit afraid of the whole mechanism, so this time he opted to take notes and watch. He did not, however, watch when it came to eating the finished product!
