Holy Harvest, Batman! Look at all those scarecrows! They are multiplying by the dozen! One of them is winking at me! ;)
This post is for Janet, and all the other moms who stayed up way past their bedtimes insuring the success of school bake sales with unique, sugary concoctions. No Rice Krispie treats or box-mix brownies are coming from this kitchen! :) LOL
These sweet treats are my proud contribtion to the bake sale for the Fall Festival at the First Little Nguyen's school (all glory and honor to Family Fun magazine for the idea and Mom for her Easy Sugar Cookie recipe). They are also, most likely, the cause of last night's migraine! Too many jimmies can make one's head spin! These cookies have quickly overtaken my countertop this afternoon as I wrapped and raffia-ed them (for the natural, harvest-y effect). They are also speaking to me to consume more chocolate....Sarah, eat just one more Hershey kiss from the glass pumpkin... I hope the school raises a lot of money for their new maps and globes from these cookies. Goodness knows, the children should be given every opportunity to learn current world geography! The globe in the media center is from, I don't know....1983? On it, Russia is still the U.S.S.R and Myanmar is nowhere to be found!
